1.Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SkinAPI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. By using this Service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.

2.Description of Service

SkinAPI is a Steam & CS2 data API that provides pricing information, float values, inventories, and multi-marketplace aggregation. The Service includes:

  • Web API endpoints for accessing Steam and CS2 data
  • Discord bot integration for community features
  • Account management and API key generation
  • AI training and support features

3.User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

4.Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

Permitted Uses:

  • Building applications and services using the API
  • Personal and commercial use within rate limits
  • Accessing data for legitimate business purposes

Prohibited Activities:

  • Reverse engineering or attempting to extract the source code
  • Using the Service to violate any applicable laws
  • Exceeding rate limits or abusing the API
  • Using the Service for spam, harassment, or malicious activities
  • Selling or redistributing API data without authorization

5.API Usage Terms

API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

API keys are confidential and must not be shared with unauthorized parties. You are responsible for all activity using your API keys.

Commercial use of the API requires an appropriate subscription plan. Free tier usage is limited to non-commercial purposes.

6.Discord Bot Terms

The SkinAPI Discord bot provides additional features and community support. By using the bot, you agree to:

  • Follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
  • Respect other community members and staff
  • Use bot commands appropriately and without abuse
  • Understand that messages in AI training channels may be used for AI training purposes

The bot may collect data including your Discord user ID and messages for service provision and AI training.

7.Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SkinAPI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Data provided through the API, including Steam and CS2 data, is subject to the terms of service of the respective platforms (Steam, etc.).

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, but grant us a license to use, modify, and display such content for providing the Service.

8.Privacy and Data Collection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9.Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Data accuracy is not guaranteed and should be verified independently.

10.Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SkinAPI be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11.Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of the Terms shall survive termination.

12.Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SkinAPI operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13.Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or Discord announcements.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
